MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - Kansas State men’s basketball exploded for 60 points in the second half to crush UNC Greensboro 93–64 in Tuesday’s season opener at Bramlage Coliseum.
P.J. Haggerty led the Wildcats with 27 points, while Nate Johnson added 22 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists -- just shy of a triple-double. Abdi Bashir Jr. scored all 16 of his points after halftime as K-State caught fire from beyond the arc, draining 14 three-pointers.
The Wildcats shot over 50% from the field and controlled every phase after the break.
K-State returns to action Saturday night against Bellarmine.
