HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - A man from Fairburn, Georgia, was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on Tuesday, following an investigation into fraudulent alcohol sales at Evansville businesses back in 2023.
According to an affidavit, Evansville Police responded to a report of fraudulent credit card information being used by three suspects at two different liquor stores in Evansville on August 31, 2023. The reporter told authorities that a group of three men used the store's manual credit card entry to purchase a total of $5,789.43 in alcohol on August 25.
Police were able to identify one of the suspects as Quahlique James by using security footage at both locations. Authorities noted that James had a criminal history out of the state of New York.
