ALL drivers in the UK risk a fine on Wednesday night - as Bonfire Night hits . Motorists are at risk of being distracted on the roads by fireworks displays up and down the country.

Road users could be slapped with a £100 fine and penalty points on their driving licence for distracted driving on November 5. Claire Wills-McKissick, expert at Tempcover, said: “In the midst of fireworks and frenzy this Bonfire Night, vigilance is essential.

"Ensure you maintain a safe distance between yourself and the car in front, and that your full focus is on the road ahead. That split-second distraction could carry a lifetime of regret.”
