A 31-year-old Indian-origin driver for Lyft, Sukhdev Singh, was killed in a road crash in Brampton on November 1 when his car collided with another at the intersection of Queen Street and Chinguacousy Road. According to reports, 1 20-year-old passenger who was in Sukhdev's car also died in the early morning crash. A person whose identity is protected by the Youth Criminal Justice Act has since been charged with dangerous driving causing death, and failure or refusal to comply with a demand.
