MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra was forced to change its guest soloist for an upcoming concert because of a delay in visa processing.
Violinist Vladyslava Luchenko, who is Ukrainian, was schedule to perform during the WCO's Eroica concert on Nov. 14. However, the WCO said there was a delay in the federal government's processing of her expedited visa application.
Performing in Luchenko's place will be award-winning violinist Lun Li, a Shanghai native who has performed at Merkin Hall in New York and the Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theater.
"We’re disappointed that Vladyslava’s visa was not processed in time despite following proper protocols and an expedited process," WCO CEO Joe Loehnis said. "She’s an extraordinary artist, and we hope to bring her back to Madison for a
