Although there's snow in the forecast , it isn't quite time for Chicago's Christmas markets to open just yet -- but they're already being set up.
Tuesday morning, NBC 5 photographer George Mycyk captured the iconic Christkindlmarket coming to life in Daley Plaza, with recognizable wood huts popping up.
Soon, those huts will house dozens of holiday gift and food retailers.
Known for offering seasonal goods, German food and hot spiced wine, the markets have become one of the most popular holiday traditions in the region.
This year, the beloved Christmas markets will return with three locations, including two in Chicago and one in the suburbs.
