Edna Karr has leaned more heavily on its rushing offense this season, and Tre Garrison has been a beneficiary of that decision.
Just look at where the senior running back plans to attend college.
Formerly committed to nearby Nicholls State, Garrison announced on Wednesday that he is now committed to Washington State, a decision that would have him immediately competing in the Football Bowl Subdivision.
The announcement came roughly one month before the early signing period that runs from Dec. 3-5.
Garrison posted on social media Oct. 30 that he had visited the Washington State campus and called it an “AMAZING experience.”
“Thank you all!! I love it,” he wrote.
Garrison and Karr will play Thursday against Rummel with a chance to clinch a fourth consecutive outright 9-5A district champ
