BENGALURU: The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has given a shock to the people of the state, who were celebrating the GST rate cut. Nandini ghee prices have been increased by Rs 90 per kg. The new price will come into effect immediately.
The price of 1 kg of Nandini ghee has been increased from Rs 610 to Rs 700. There will be no changes in other Nandini products except for ghee.
The KMF had previously reduced the price of ghee by Rs 40 after the GST slab revision, from Rs 650 to Rs 610 per litre. However, due to the increase in ghee prices in the global market, KMF had decided to increase the price even before the GST revision. As a result, the price of KMF ghee has been increased, and the new price will come into effect immediately, according to KMF officials.
