Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is facing scrutiny ahead of the Nuapada bypoll following serious allegations from Shrimati Kalpana Dholakia, the widow of late BJD leader Rajendra Dholakia. She claims the party failed to respect her husband’s legacy and abandoned him during his final illness.

According to Kalpana Dholakia, Rajendra Dholakia dedicated 24 years of his life to the BJD but did not receive the respect he earned. She stated that during his illness, no BJD leader reached out or offered support, a lack of concern that she believes deeply affected him and contributed to his passing.
