ALLEN PARK – As the Detroit Lions prepare for their Week 10 road matchup against the Washington Commanders, their practice squad became one player thinner Wednesday morning.
The Miami Dolphins announced they have signed third-year defender Andre Carter II off the Lions’ practice squad to their active roster. The move comes on the heels of the Dolphins trading Jaelan Phillips to the Philadelphia Eagles and with second-year pass rusher Chop Robinson in concussion protocol.
Carter, 25, signed with the Lions’ practice squad in August — three days after being waived by the Las Vegas Raiders at the end of training camp. During his time in Detroit, the defensive end did not appear in a game.
