The Cavemen were 4-3 after losing 32-21 at Sprague and sitting No. 15 in the OSAA rankings, squarely on the bubble to make the 16-team Class 6A championship bracket — especially considering Portland Interscholastic League champion Roosevelt would be elevated into the top 16 if it didn’t rise high enough in the rankings.
