A New York State Police cruiser was stolen in Upstate New York, police said Wednesday.
The marked State Police patrol vehicle was reported stolen early Wednesday morning. Troopers said an Oneonta repair shop was burglarized overnight and a patrol car undergoing service at the location was taken from the premises.
Th vehicle was found later Wednesday morning nearly 100 miles away in Rensselaer County, police said.
A person found inside the vehicle was taken into custody. They were not immediately identified; police said the person is being interviewed by investigators.
An investigation is ongoing.
