CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two men have been arrested following a robbery in Charlotte's Dilworth neighborhood last month, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Police responded to the Food Lion at Dilworth Crossing Shopping Center off Park Road on Oct. 20 after reports of a robbery. When they arrived, officers learned two people had left the scene after allegedly trying to steal form the business then assaulting a store employee who confronted them.

Officers eventually identified 20-year-old Andre Desmond Davis and 39-year-old Darnell Montraite Davis as suspects in the case. CMPD detectives interviewed the two on Oct. 30, and both were subsequently arrested and taken into Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office custody.

Both suspects have since been charged with common law robbe
