SALT LAKE CITY – The Mr. Mac Utah County High School Player of the Week is awarded each week to the top prep football players in Utah County. It honors athletes for their performances on the gridiron and exceptional play. Our winner this week was American Fork High School quarterback Nate Childs.

Utah County Player of the Week – Nate Childs, American Fork High School

Childs and the American Fork Cavemen took on longtime rival Lehi in the second round of the 6A Playoffs. The game was a slugfest from the start with both teams seeking to assert themselves on the other. The Pioneers drew first blood with a Legend Glasker touchdown pass before Childs dove in from one yard out to even the score.
