Jammu, Nov 05: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will spearhead the National Conference’s (NC) election campaign in the Nagrota Assembly constituency on Thursday, ahead of the by-election scheduled for November 11, a senior party leader said.

Several senior NC leaders will also be campaigning in Nagrota to garner support for the party’s candidate. The Nagrota seat became vacant following the untimely death of BJP MLA Devender Rana. The BJP has fielded Rana’s daughter, Devyani Rana, as its candidate. Devyani was appointed Vice-President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in 2025.

The by-election for Nagrota is set for November 11, with results to be declared on November 14.
