Support is pouring in for a Pennsylvania emergency room technician who loved ones say was the victim of a violent assault over the weekend.
Travis Dunn was assaulted by 40-year-old Bradley Lloyd while working in the emergency department at UPMC Altoona, on Saturday, Nov. 1, CBS News reports. Dunn was found unconscious on the floor after being struck in the face by Lloyd, and was airlifted to another hospital with a cracked skull, brain bleed, and other serious injuries, the outlet said.
A GoFundMe for Dunn described him as a dedicated tech.
"Travis is known among his friends and coworkers, as compassionate, hardworking, and always willing to lend a helping hand," Jamie Mahute writes. "He has dedicated his career to caring for others in their moments of greatest need — now it’s our turn to care for him."
The campaign aims to recoup lost income and cover unforeseen costs as Dunn heals.
