Norwin is just about done playing the waiting game.
Prior to this season, it hadn’t been to the WPIAL Class 6A playoffs since 2017, just one year after the classification was added. The No. 3-seeded Knights (7-3) will take on No. 2 North Allegheny (7-3) at 7 p.m. on Friday in Wexford as they look for their first championship berth.
Oh, and another wait they’re itching to end — the two weeks since last playing a game.
“We were probably ready to go three or four days ago,” Norwin coach Mike Brown said with a laugh. “I’m sure North Allegheny was, too.”
