NAPLES, Fla. (WFLA) — The Collier County Sheriff's Office said a 15-year-old boy is facing a felony charge after an electric dirt bike pursuit through traffic on Tuesday.
CCSO said that deputies observed the boy speeding and performing stunts on a sidewalk during a Central Naples patrol.
Body camera footage showed the 15-year-old flee from deputies after an attempted traffic stop, reaching speeds close to 70 mph in heavy traffic, CCSO said.
According to deputies, the boy repeatedly ignored instructions, jumping sidewalks and weaving into traffic along Golden Gate Parkway.
The pursuit ended after the boy rolled into a ditch where his bike got stuck, CCSO said.
