As the University of New Orleans prepares to rejoin the LSU system , officials already are developing a new purple and gold UNO logo and have assembled a high-powered transition team that includes restauranteur Emeril Lagasse Jr., rapper Master P and shipbuilder Boysie Bollinger.

The 19-member transition committee met for the first time Wednesday to begin planning UNO's move from the University of Louisiana System to the LSU system, which will be completed by next July.
