AKRON, Ohio — Swensons Drive-In is providing free kid’s meals for those with SNAP/EBT benefits during the government shutdown, aiming to help feed local children in need.

The temporary meal-assistance initiative starts Wednesday, Nov. 5 and runs until Nov. 12 at all Swensons locations. Guests 18 and younger whose parent or guardian presents a valid SNAP/EBT card will get a free meal choice of a single cheeseburg or hamburg, grilled cheese or hot dog, along with applesauce and bottled water.
