ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions were expected to be without Taylor Decker and Penei Sewell at Wednesday’s practice to start the week.
Decker was not spotted at all, while Sewell was seen working to the side and not participating in drills. The left tackle suffered a knee injury on top of his lingering shoulder issue during last week’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Sewell didn’t miss any plays, but got checked out for an injury between drives.
“I think it’s more about are they going to be able to practice this week and are they going to be able to play this week?” Campbell said Monday.
The Lions were also without veteran offensive tackle Dan Skipper and Christian Mahogany. Skipper was the unexpected one, as Mahogany is expected to be out until at least late December with a broken bone.
