A bus carrying Barcelona fans erupted into flames just hours before their Champions League clash against Club Brugge.

Supporters of the Spanish side were travelling to the Jan Breydel Stadium in Bruges, Belgium when their transport caught alight.

Footage on social media appears to show Barcelona fans lighting flares on the bus before flames burst out of the stricken vehicle.

Fans can be seen making their way off the bus as smoke began to fill the inside of it.

It's not yet clear if anyone has been injured by the blaze.

Despite the fiery scenes, the Barcelona fans seemed to remain calm.

Belgian outlet HLN have reported that a man has been arrested by police in connection with the incident.

They have also claimed that fireworks caused the fire, although it's not known if they were
