Colorado offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur has been stripped of his play-calling duties after a brutal, 57-3 loss to Utah on Oct. 25, according to USA Today .

Shurmur, a former Giants head coach, is in his third year on Boulder head coach Deion Sanders’ staff. He has now been demoted from offensive coordinator to quarterbacks coach.

Passing game coordinator and tight ends coach Brett Bartolone called the plays in Saturday’s 52-17 loss to Arizona, according to the report.

Sanders referenced the changes in his Tuesday press conference.

“I might have already changed it, and you don’t know,” he said. “I don’t do stuff and blow the whistles and make major announcements.”
