BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — Eight people, including a man accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old family member, were arrested Wednesday following a domestic violence investigation in Bridgeport, police said.

The investigation, code-named " Operation Purple Shield," targeted people in the city with domestic violence arrest warrants.

The following people were arrested. • Patrick Curry, 44, • Tyrese Dennis • Jose Flores-Viano • Tiago Amorim-Deferias • Tymithy Jenkins • John Holleran • Taneisha Fisher-Morris • Brionna Bland

Patrick Curry, 44, was accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old family member and was charged with first-degree sexual assault, risk of injury to a minor and sexual contact with a person under 16. His bond was set at $200,000.
