November is Military Appreciation Month — a time to honor those who serve our nation, and the families who stand beside them. As a proud North Dakotan, I want to take this moment to recognize one of our own: Admiral Stuart Munsch, a remarkable leader and lifelong example of service.

I first met Munsch during Navy Week in 2015, thanks to Fargo Park Board member Jerry Rostad. What began as a brief introduction turned into a conversation that stayed with me.
