The season is merry and bright, and so are the returning holiday cups at Starbucks.

Starting on Thursday, Nov. 6, Starbucks customers will see the return of the coffee house chain's festive holiday cups, according to a press release from the company.

“There’s something unmistakably magical about that moment the cups arrive – it’s as if the season officially begins,” Starbucks creative director, Kristy Cameron, said in a statement.

The festive holiday cups will replace Starbucks' typical, disposable white cups during the holiday season.

Favorite holiday flavors, like the Peppermint Mocha and Caramel Brulée Latte, will also be returning to Starbucks locations.

Here's what you need to know about the highly anticipated holiday cups.

When will Starbucks' holiday cups be available?

The holiday cups will be available on Thursday, Nov. 6, according to Starbucks.

When is Red Cup Day 2025?

Red Cup Day will return to the beloved chain for one day only. On Thursday, Nov. 13, customers will receive a free, collectible, reusable cup, unlike the disposable holiday cups, when they purchase a holiday beverage, according to a separate press release.

Holiday drinks coming to Starbucks menu

The following drinks will be available to order at Starbucks for the holiday season:

  • Peppermint Mocha
  • Caramel Brulée Latte
  • Iced Sugar Cookie Latte
  • Iced Sugar Cookie Breve
  • Iced Gingerbread Chai

Various flavors of cold foams will also be returning:

  • Gingerbread Cream Cold Foam

The famous Snowman Cookie will also return to menus, and a new Cinnamon Pull-Apart will make its debut.

What do the holiday cups look like? How were they designed?

The cups are red and green, and they feature bows and plaid.

The bow designs are inspired by the aprons worn by baristas, according to Starbucks.

Cups used to serve hot drinks will feature four different designs: Two red cups – one with green bows and another with bows in a lighter shade of red – and two cups that feature plaid patterns in red and green.

Cups used to serve cold drinks will also receive a festive touch. The clear plastic cups will feature red and green bows.
