COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -- With all votes counted in Kootenai County, Dan Gookin will be the next mayor of Coeur d'Alene.

Four candidates, including incumbent Woody McEvers, were vying for the position.

At the final unofficial count, Gookin received 34.19% of the vote. Debbie Loffman finished with 28%, and McEvers got 26.46%.

Dan Gookin currently serves on CDA City Council. His campaign website lists his potential mayoral goals as keeping city council informed, creating a city policy manual and supporting small businesses.
