SNAP benefits expiring: Pennsylvania, New Jersey among states suing Trump admin

Pennsylvania and New Jersey are among a cohort of states that have joined together to sue the Trump administration as SNAP benefits are set to expire for millions in November.

The Brief

Delaware has established a state-funded program to keep providing residents with SNAP benefits during the government shutdown.

Residents receiving SNAP benefits will get weekly payments with 25% of their monthly allocation.

Payments will start going out on Nov. 7.

Delaware announced a temporary relief program for residents missing on Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits this November, and payments are expected to start going out by the end of the week.
