EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WLNE) — A car crashed into an office building on Post Road in East Greenwich Wednesday morning.
According to the East Greenwich Fire Department, an elderly driver hit the gas instead of the breaks and crashed into a beam.
Firefighters removed the damaged beam and placed temporary support beams.
The department said the driver was not hurt and the car sustained minor damages.
A structural engineer was called to inspect the building.
