ST PAUL, Minn. — Flags will fly at half-staff at state buildings across Minnesota in tribute to former Vice President Dick Cheney , who died Monday, Nov. 3, at age 84.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz ordered state and U.S. flags on public properties lowered "immediately and until sunset on the day of internment" in honor and remembrance of Cheney. His funeral plans have not yet been announced.

"Former Vice President Cheney devoted decades to public service, holding a variety of roles throughout his career and redefining the role of Vice President," said Governor Walz in a news release. "Gwen and I extend our deepest condolences to the Cheney family and all who are mourning his passing."
