NEWBURYPORT — Mayor Sean Reardon secured another four years in office Tuesday, fending off a robust challenge from Ward 5 Councilor Jim McCauley, the highlight of a busy Election Day that also saw Ed Cameron, Afroz Khan, Heather Shand, Sarah Hall and Ben Harman win councilor at-large seats.

In the ward races, Stephanie Niketic bested Shawn Fenn to become the next Ward 2 city councilor while Mary DeLai will be Ward 6's next councilor after defeating Jim Eichhorst.
