VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A Virginia Beach man has been sentenced to 24 years in prison for a 2024 crash that killed two of his passengers while he was driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

According to the Virginia Beach Commonwealth’s Attorney Colin Stolle, 37-year-old Adam Lee Cieniewicz was found guilty in August of two counts of aggravated involuntary manslaughter, hit and run, possession of a Schedule I/II drug and DUI.

The judge sentenced Cieniewicz Wednedsay to 55 years and 12 months, with 31 years and 12 months suspended, leaving 24 years to serve, which is nearly double the high end of state sentencing guidelines.
