After trading both Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams on Tuesday prior to the NFL trade deadline, the remainder of the 2025 season looks incredibly bleak for the New York Jets on paper.
Sitting at 1-7 on the year, New York opted to prepare for a long-term rebuild by trading Gardner and Williams. In total, the Jets received a combined three first-round and a second-round pick over the next two NFL drafts for the former Pro Bowlers.
This obviously bodes incredibly well for the future of the Jets. However, a portion of their fanbase likely isn't all that pleased that the organization seems to be essentially giving up on any hopes of turning things around this season by making these moves.
