With injuries piling up and the Penguins coming off a tough road trip on which they lost three of four, we saw sweeping changes at Wednesday’s practice in Cranberry.

After Kindel scored twice in Monday’s loss in Toronto, the Penguins rewarded him with a promotion to the top line. Coach Dan Muse wanted to get a look at Kindel there in part because he’s clicked with Crosby and Bryan Rust on the power play.
“Those guys are together on the power play. We’ve seen them be able to read off each other and make plays,” Muse said. “So it was something we wanted to look at.”
