Warriors' Steph Curry passed Kobe Bryant, closing in on Michael Jordan's NBA record

Stephen Curry's name has resided among NBA legends for a while now.

The Golden State Warriors superstar put himself in some more historic company with his performance Tuesday night.

Curry scored 28 points against the Phoenix Suns , which marked his 252nd game of 25 or more points since turning 30 years old, according to OptaStats .

That broke a tie with Kobe Bryant for second place all time. Bryant had 251 games of 25-plus points after turning 30.

The record holder is Michael Jordan, who had 256 such games.

Given Curry's scoring potency, he's got a great chance of breaking that MJ record this season.
