MSNBC was the most watched network for coverage of the off-year elections on Tuesday, with CNN prevailing in the 25-54 demo.

MSNBC drew 3.04 million total viewers, followed by Fox News with 2.85 million and CNN with 1.78 million.

In the 25-54 demo, CNN averaged 574,000, followed by MSNBC with 490,000 and Fox News with 448,000.

The evening marked a rare win for MSNBC over Fox News, which has dominated primetime for years, and won total viewers and the demo last week.

The election night coverage marked the first time that MSNBC topped Fox News in total viewers and the demo since Aug. 22, 2024, during the Democratic National Convention, the network said.

MSNBC is preparing to rebrand as MS Now on Nov. 15, as Comcast spins off its cable networks into a new company, Versant.
