Finally, some good news for the Detroit Lions ' injury-riddled offensive line.

Right tackle Penei Sewell said his left shoulder injury is feeling better than it was after last week's loss to the Minnesota Vikings and he expects to play Sunday against the Washington Commanders .

Sewell sat out practice Wednesday but spent the open portion working on the side with trainers. He's made 59 straight starts dating back to Week 1 of the 2022 season.

"At the end of the day, if I can go, I'm going to go," Sewell said. "And, yeah, everyone's pain tolerance is different, everyone's got different serious injuries and I'm just fortunate that I haven’t. So when I'm able to go, I'm going."
