A 46-year-old Clifton man has been charged in connection with a Halloween shooting in Paterson, authorities said.

Yousif Awadallah is believed to have shot a 31-year-old man around 4:15 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31 at Summer Street and 21st Avenue, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In- Charge Patrick Murray said.

The victim was taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment. Police were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area.

Awadallah was arrested, without incident, by Wayne police near Route 23 and Old Turnpike Road, authorities said.

He was charged with three counts of Aggravated Assault, second degree, Unlawful Possession of Weapon, first degree Unlawful Possession of Weapon, second degree, three counts of Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, second degree, and Certain Person Not to Possess a Weapon, second degree.
