A NYC wind advisory is in place beginning at 8pm today, November 5th. While we might’ve experienced a mild November afternoon, things are about to shift a bit as the sun goes down. We’ll tell you what you need to know.

What to know about today’s NYC wind advisory

From Wednesday, November 5th at 8pm to Thursday, November 6th at 9am, winds are expected to hit around 20-30 miles per hour, and at certain points could potentially reach 50 miles per hour. Thunderstorms are not entirely out of the realm of possibilities, either, particularly if you’re north of the city, so be cautious if you need to travel.

Speaking of which, Notify NYC urges all of those driving, biking, and walking during this timeframe to use caution and stay inside when possible.
