All 21 counties across New Jersey are under wind alerts Wednesday because of a strong storm system that’s expected to bring wind gusts as powerful as 50 mph at times.
Forecasters from the National Weather Service say widespread tree damage and power outages are possible from the gusty winds, and driving conditions could become tricky for trucks and other large vehicles.
All areas of the Garden State are under formal wind advisories as of Wednesday afternoon.
Most of the alerts will be active from 7 p.m. Wednesday through 7 a.m. Thursday, and some run from 9 p.m. Wednesday through 8 a.m. Thursday.
