ALLEN COUNTY, Ky. (WBKO) - For those who have always been interested in making a difference within their community, election filing is now open for city and county positions.
Allen County Clerk Sarah Constant describes the start of the election process next year.
“Once the local candidates file their intent with the county clerk, file their financial intent, their name is then on the ballot, and then the citizens would vote on that,” she said. “There would be a primary in May and a general election in November.”
When filling out the paperwork, it’s important to pay attention to everything in order to make sure your name is on the ballot.
“We have candidates that want to file to try to make a change, candidates that just want to be involved, just to be part of their community,” Constant
