Led by four regional hosts, 14 teams out of the Boulder, Broomfield and Longmont area claimed a spot in the girls volleyball postseason this weekend.
In classifications 5A-2A, there are 12 regions of three teams. In 1A, there are 12 with just two.
All regional winners will advance to the Denver Coliseum to play in one of the five 12-team tournaments. After regionals conclude on Saturday, teams will be reseeded and the top four will receive a first-round bye for the state tournament, which.is slated to run from Nov. 13-15.
In the area, 5A No. 9 Legacy, 4A No. 9 Mead, 3A No. 12 Prospect Ridge Academy and 2A No. 4 Lyons are on their home courts this weekend.
