PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - The Johnson Central Football team has earned three honors ahead of the first round of playoffs.
After leading the Golden Eagles to a perfect 10-0 regular season record, Head Coach Jesse Peck was named the Kentucky Football Coaches Association (KFCA) 4A District 6 Coach of the Year.
Senior Drew Ferguson was named the KFCA 4A district 6 Lineman of the Year.
Ferguson had 64 tackles through the regular season, racking up four sacks and three tackles for losses. He also has one forced fumble on the year.
Senior Logan Music was named the 4A District 6 player of the Year, getting reps on both sides of the ball.
Offensively, Music finished the regular season with 1,107 rush yards for 13 touchdowns and defensively the senior had 29 tackles with one forced fumble.
