QUAY COUNTY, N.M. (KAMR/KCIT) — The New Mexico State Police report that an Illinois man was arrested in Quay County on Wednesday after learning of an alleged homicide.
According to NMSP, at around 5 p.m. on Nov. 4, officers were patrolling in Quay County when they were notified by NMSP dispatch of a License Plate Reader hit on a stolen vehicle.
The alert informed officers that a stolen vehicle from Illinois was allegedly traveling westbound on Interstate 40 near milepost 342. NMSP added that the car was also connected to an ongoing homicide investigation being conducted by the Cicero Police Department in Illinois.
