INDIANAPOLIS -- Cody Martin happened to be visiting his twin brother Caleb at just the right time to meet the NBA team that was most desperately in need of help.

Cody Martin was waived by the Suns in June after going to Phoenix in a February trade and he spent all summer trying to keep his options for a new home open. Nothing ever quite materialized by the time the season started, so he went to hang out in Dallas with Caleb, who had been traded to the Mavericks by the 76ers in February. And not even a week into the season, the Pacers visited the Mavericks with so many injuries that they had to hold a multi-player tryout just to look for players who could help.
