INDIANAPOLIS — Kadince McGowan-Dacy, a mother of three under 3, tries her hardest to make ends meet for her babies.
"Diapers are expensive and formula, so definitely and just taking care of a child in general and I had three so and another one on the way," McGowan-Dacy said.
She is 15 weeks pregnant and applied to Building Independent Resilient Thriving Homes, BIRTH, fund for support and help.
It's a new program from the City of Indianapolis and The Bridge Project. Moms accepted into the program receive the following:
"That definitely would help with payments for just the basic necessities of just everyday life and not trying to become homeless again," McGowan-Dacy said.
The Bridge Project has this program set up in ten other states where they say they've helped more than 3,800 moms.
