BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Next week, a brand new exhibit opens at Indiana University in Bloomington with historic uniforms, gear and trophies from Hoosier athletes.
Housed at University Collections at McCalla, the collection of cream and crimson covers all kinds of sports champions, from soccer and swimming to basketball and football.
Items on display span a century of sports at IU.
The exhibit is called "Outfitting IU Athletics: Hoosier Champions."
"I'm a big sports guy. I went to IU for my undergrad. So it's really cool to help curate an exhibit that celebrates Hoosier champions," said Jeremy Hackerd, assistant director for University Collections at IU.
It is a celebration of excellence, with track suits and trophies, jackets and jerseys.
