LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - It’s the time of year when most of us plan on celebrating the season with food and family. But for some of our neighbors, hunger is a daily challenge.

That’s why we are teaming up once again with Rouses Markets to Pack the Tent.

Friday, Nov. 14, KPLC will host our annual food and supply drive at Abraham’s Tent, a soup kitchen at 2424 Fruge St. in Lake Charles that provides hot meals to those in need.

Our team of volunteers will be there from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to take your donations of non-perishable foods, cleaning supplies and warm clothing.
