NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB) - Along Front Street in Natchitoches, you can feel the charm that recently earned the area national attention.
Front Street was named one of the best Main Streets in America for fall shopping, and locals said the honor reflects the true spirit of their community.
Paige Alost, Executive Director of the Natchitoches Parish Tourist Commission, said Front Street is a place that blends history with everyday life.
“We are a landmark historic district, one of only two in Louisiana, the other being the French Quarter,” she said. “As Louisiana’s oldest city, we love that people can come here to shop, eat and enjoy the history year-round.”
