FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A man trapped in a burning home was rescued by Fresno Fire on Tuesday night.
The fire started around 9:15 p.m. at a home along the 2700 block of N. Thorne Ave.
Fresno Fire say the house was vacant and responding crews were told someone may be inside. After searching through heavy smoke, a man was found in the building.
Firefighters brought him out to safety, where he was provided emergency medical care before being transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
Crews say the fire caused moderate damage to the home; the cause is currently under investigation.
